3. How long does it take to make a sample??
Sample development is fast. It typically takes about 5 to 7 days to create a prototype sample once we have your design details. This includes pattern making, sewing, and finishing the sample by hand. If the design is very complex or if we need to source special materials, it could take a little longer (up to around 15 days), but usually we can deliver a first sample within one week. We will send you clear photos (or the physical sample, if time permits) for your approval.
4. Do I need to pay for the sample?
We charge a nominal sample fee to cover the cost of materials and labor for prototyping. The exact fee depends on the complexity of the design, but it’s typically reasonable (we will quote it upfront, e.g. $150 as a ballpark for a simple keychain plush). The good news is we refund the sample fee or deduct it from your bulk order payment once you place a full order. This way, the sample effectively becomes free if we move into mass production. In some cases (for example, long-term clients or very simple existing designs), we might waive or reduce the sample fee. Shipping the sample to you (via courier) is usually a separate small cost which we’ll discuss based on your location.
5. What is the production lead time for bulk orders?
Our typical production lead time is 20 to 30 days for a standard bulk order once the sample is approved and deposit is received. This timeline can vary depending on the order quantity and the season. For example, an order of a few hundred pieces might be completed closer to the 20-day mark, while several thousand pieces could take the full month. In off-peak periods we often finish faster than 30 days. We’ll provide a schedule when you order, and we do our best to meet any requested deadlines. If you have an urgent timeline, let us know – we can sometimes expedite production (we’ve fulfilled rush orders in ~15 days by adding extra shifts). Keep in mind that lead time is separate from shipping transit time, which will depend on the shipping method .
6. What are the shipping options and how long does delivery take?
We offer sea freight, air freight, and express courier options for shipping your order. The delivery time depends on which method you choose:
Sea Freight: This is the most cost-effective for large orders. Rough transit times by sea are about 20–40 days to most major ports worldwide. For example, to the US West Coast ~3–4 weeks on the water, to Europe ~4–6 weeks. Sea shipping is economical but if you have a strict deadline, you need to account for this longer transit.
Air Freight: Faster but costlier, air shipments typically take 5–10 days to arrive internationally. This is a good middle option if you need quicker delivery for a moderate cost. We often use air for medium-sized orders that need to be in-market fast (e.g. a few thousand units for a promotion).
Express Courier: For urgent or smaller shipments (like sample orders or quick restocks), DHL/UPS/FedEx can deliver usually in 3–7 days globally. It’s the priciest per kilogram, but ensures the fastest door-to-door service.
We will advise you on the best option based on your order size and time frame. Many clients choose a combination: for instance, sending a small quantity by air to meet an event date, and the rest by sea to save cost. We handle all logistics, so whichever method you choose, you’ll get full tracking and our support until the goods reach you.
7. Can you handle shipping and customs clearance (e.g. ship under DDP)?
Yes, we certainly can. We offer door-to-door delivery options and can ship under DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) terms if requested. Under DDP, we manage the entire shipping process: booking freight, export documentation, customs clearance on both the China side and your country’s side, payment of import duties/taxes, and local delivery to your address. In other words, we act as your logistics partner – you just receive the goods without worrying about the paperwork or dealing with customs. Many of our clients prefer this hassle-free arrangement. We also support FOB and CIF terms if you have your own forwarder – under FOB we get the goods on board at our port and provide you the documents so your forwarder takes over, and under CIF we ship to your port (including insurance) and you handle import formalities. Just let us know your preference. If you’re not familiar with import procedures, DDP is a convenient choice as we have the expertise in clearing customs (we ship regularly to North America, Europe, Asia, etc., and are up-to-date with paperwork requirements). Rest assured, whichever term we use, we ensure all necessary shipping documents (commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading/airway bill, certificates of origin if needed, etc.) are properly prepared.
8. How can my logo or branding be added to the plush?
We offer several customization techniques to incorporate your logo or branding on the keychain plush:
Embroidery: A very popular method. We can directly embroider your logo or design onto the plush fabric (for example, on the toy’s belly or back). This gives a high-quality, durable result and is great for detailed logos or text.
Printed Labels or Tags: We can create a woven label or fabric tag with your logo and sew it into the seam of the plush. Alternatively, a satin/cloth printed label can be attached, often on the side of the plush toy, as a subtle branded tag.
Custom Hang Tags: Apart from the plush itself, we can print custom cardboard hang tags that are attached to the keychain (usually through the key ring or a string). These can have your logo, company info, social media, etc. Hang tags are removable by the end-customer but offer a great way to convey your branding and messaging in full color.

9. What materials are used in the keychain plush? Are they safe?
We use high-quality, non-toxic materials for all our plush keychains. The main components are:
Plush Fabric: Usually a soft polyester plush (fabric outer layer) which gives the toy its fuzzy texture. We choose durable, colorfast fabrics that have been tested to ensure they contain no harmful chemicals (free of lead, phthalates, etc.). We can also use specialty fabrics like cotton plush or velboa upon request.
Stuffing: Inside the plush, we use PP cotton (polypropylene fiberfill) or recycled polyester fiberfill. This is the fluffy stuffing that makes the toy huggable. Our stuffing is new (or certified recycled) and hypoallergenic. It meets safety standards for cleanliness and flammability.
Keychain Hardware: The key ring and chain are typically metal (nickel-plated iron or zinc alloy) or sometimes thick plastic clips, depending on design. We ensure any metal parts are smooth and secure.
Other Accessories: If your design has plastic safety eyes, noses, or beads, we source safety-certified accessories that won’t come off easily. All small parts are secured with locking mechanisms or hand-sewn and tested with pull forces to make sure they don’t detach. We avoid materials like glass or any brittle components for safety reasons.
Importantly, all materials and finished products comply with international toy safety standards (ASTM F963 for USA, EN71 for Europe, etc.). We have a robust quality check on materials (incoming material inspection as described earlier) to verify things like fabric weight, color consistency, and absence of hazards. So yes – the materials we use are absolutely safe for their intended audience. If the plush keychain is aimed at children, we make sure to use embroidered features instead of hard plastic when possible, to eliminate choking hazards. We can also use organic or eco-friendly materials if you prefer (for example, organic cotton fabric or recycled fill, as mentioned).
10. How do you ensure the quality of my order during production?
We maintain a strict quality control system throughout the production of your keychain plush. To summarize our approach:
We perform an initial material inspection before production starts, checking all fabrics, fillings, and accessories for quality and compliance. Only approved materials go into production.
During manufacturing, we have QC inspectors on the production line who continuously monitor workmanship. They check for things like consistent sewing, correct assembly of parts, and alignment of embroidery/prints. Any deviation from the approved sample is caught and corrected immediately.
We also carry out mid-production checks when a portion of the order is completed (for example, after 20% or 50% of units are made). At this stage, we’ll take random samples and verify they match the sample in all aspects – size, shape, appearance, functionality. We share progress with you, often with photos from the factory floor.
Once production is finished, we conduct a final inspection on the packed goods based on AQL sampling standards (common practice in our industry).
